Dental Crowns – What is the process?
We take a dental X-ray to examine the extent of decay or tooth damage. If the decay is deep and there is a pulp injury, we may need to perform root canal treatment.
Our dentist trims the tooth and shapes it to fit the type of dental crown used. Impressions are then taken of your trimmed teeth and sent to the lab for crown fabrication.
Until you get your permanent crowns fixed, we will protect your teeth with a temporary crown. Patients usually receive their permanent crowns within one to two weeks.

How can I clean under my dental bridge?
You can clean under your dental bridge using a Waterpik, a floss threader, or an interdental brush. A Waterpik is a specific dental cleaning device that shoots tiny streams of water into the inaccessible areas of the mouth and cleans them effectively.
Can I eat with my temporary crown?
Temporary crowns are fixed to the teeth by a quick bonding agent, which is not very strong. You should refrain from eating sticky or hard foods. Avoid candy, gum, chips, nuts etc., on the side of the mouth where your crown is. Chew from the other side. Also, you should not floss your temporary dental crown.
