• Always brush your teeth twice daily.
• Use fluoride-containing toothpaste, and ask our dentist if a fluoride rinse is essential. A fluoride rinse can help prevent gum disease, cavities, and tooth decay.
• Quit smoking and avoid eating a lot of sugary foods. Sugar promotes bacterial growth leading to cavities. And smoking can cause gum disease and stain your teeth.
• Clean your tongue! By cleaning your tongue, you can get rid of food particles and lessen the number of bacteria that cause plaque. 
• Schedule your regular check-up as soon as possible. We suggest that you see our dentist every 6 months.

A toothpaste specially designed for sensitive teeth may provide some relief. Apply some toothpaste to the sensitive area when going to bed as it helps protect the surface. Avoid strongly acidic beverages and meals, and wait for an hour after eating before brushing since doing so could increase sensitivity.
